Flashback Friday!

This cute, little 1 year old girl right here turns 4 on Sunday! I can't believe how fast time has gone! I love you Arianna Elise! I have never loved the way I love you.

Tom King-5k

Just a few Saturday's ago, March 12th, I ran the Gupton Dodge Tom King 5k. The weather was absolutely fabulous! For those who don't know what a 5k is, it's 3.1 miles. One of my 'many' goals is to do at least 4-5 5ks this year in order to stay fit. This was my first one of the year.

Two friends, Abbey and Emily (my running buddy) joined me.

Here I am at the start line. Abbey was making fun of me because I stood at the front with the fast paced road runners...like the 6 minute miler speedy gonzales ya know. She kept saying, you can't stand there and I said, 'watch me'. I stood at the front with those fast runners and didn't care because I knew they'd pass me any ways. I wouldn't slow them down. Sorry you speedies. I wanted up front so I wouldn't be starting like 10 minutes later!!!
And away we gooooo....... if I knew how to do the little trick of writing on the pictures I would write on this one below. You see how everyone is running around us and I'm smiling so big..whateva! I know you can't really tell, but I was. But look where I'd be standing if I didn't stand in the front ya'll! Way past that stop sign. I wasn't going to do it. I was not going to stand all the way in the back with those 'slow' runners. hahaha...because I'm so fast. <---you guys know i'm just sayin' that because I'm really not.
and well here I am all excited and stuff to finally be crossing the finish line inside the stadium (which was actually pretty cool) and BEING DONE. REALLY!!! How the crap did I even run a 1/2 marathon!!?? I almost puked at the end of this one...for reals. If you guys only knew what I was thinking.
I had to literally sit down once I crossed the finish line because I started getting all dizzy and stuff. Of course prior to this I hadn't ran in like forever! It had been over 2 weeks since my last practice. Any ways, it got done and I finished in 28.40 minutes.

I'm beginning my practice runs for my next one which takes place on Mule day-April 2nd!!! Yep, can't wait to get that t-shirt. :)

We're doing this! Yes, P90X. It's a 90 day home hardcore-extreme fitness program.
Robert and I want to get fit and if we stick to this, we'll be ready to show off our hot bodies for the summer. Ha! not so much, but ya'll get what I'm sayin' though. This is commitment and we're going to try our best! We're going to challenge ourselves. We started last Sunday. A week ago tomorrow. This is a 6 day a week 1 hour workout. Yes, it takes an hour of our day and well, we've managed for the one week to stay with it, even though one night we were up until 11:15pm finishing it. This workout works every part of your body different days of the week and it's hard and it hurts! Any ways, I'll update you guys every once in a while on how we're coming along. Wish us luck!

Facts about Me

Thought you might like to know a little more about me by sharing some facts, maybe fun facts about me that you may not know:

*I'm a Mexirican. Yep full on Hispanic, 1/2 Mexican, 1/2 Puerto Rican-yet I'm a white pale girl! Hate it!
*I'm bilingual in Spanish and English, don't try talking bad about me in Spanish, because I'll know!
*I married a white guy-so technically speaking we're an innerracial marriage
*I have two little girls who are blonde, not a dirty blonde, but BLONDE! Not a lick of Spanish in them.
*I'm loud-not braggin', just sayin'-it's hard for me to whisper
*I'm a negotiater at heart. I'm not embarrassed to ask either. I don't settle for the prices marked. Garage/yard sales, flea markets, craigslist, etc... I've found some great deals and have actually gotten my friends great deals.
*I've tried out for America's Got Talent-didn't make it unfortunately
*I've tried out for American Idol-sadly again didn't make it
*I've got an acrylic painting of Tennessee Iris's hanging in the Nashville Titan's Coliseum
*I love and enjoy painting-anything related to kids. I need to do this a little more though. I don't do it enough.
*I've traveled to 7 countries in Europe at the age of 16, have seen Niagara falls, traveled to Mexico/Puerto Rico several times, and have been to the Bahamas. I wish I could say more.
*I've shopped the Biggest Mall of America because I actually won a trip to Minnesota after signing up for one of those things that you never think you'll win...well I was wrong!
*I've sang with the Southern Gospel Band-The Gaither Band and have sang with Avalon
*Working on a Christian CD-ongoing now for about 5 years
*I've met Dolly Parton at a Mexican Restaurant, Faith Hill and Tim Mcgraw at Cracker Barrel, Christian singers Joy Williams and Jacky Valezquez at a studio, Christian singer Natalie Grant at Christ Church, and Melinda Doolittle from American Idol at a business luncheon. And no, it wasn't from afar, I actually went up to them and spoke. You only really get one opportunity so why not.
*I ran the Nashville Music City 1/2 Marathon
*I've camped out in my own backyard. Dorky, I know, but yet fun.
*I've been splunking-actually a bit scary
*I've met an actual murderer right before it happened. Shocking and really sad.
